The Story of Muffins

Put simply, Muffins is an unofficial sequal to Cupcakes. The first story sees Derpy walk in on Pinkie Pie about to kill a pony. Pinkie manipulates her into helping and Derpy quickly becomes a part of pinkies team. There are other characters introduced to the team as well including Apple Bloom and Pinkie Pie's sisters Inkie, Blinkie, and Minkie. (Maud didn't exist when the series began) Together they go around murdering ponies and fooling the police.

Ok that statement needs some context. I listened to the entirety of Muffins when I was far too young to (like with most of these stories) It facinated me then and it still does now. Something about its characters and characterizations, particularly Pinkie Pie, really stuck with me. I also liked the format that being a series of short stories told through narration. It's not original but it was the fist time I had seen a story presented that way

The rewrite

I want to make it clear that my love for the story does not extend to the author. However there is a rewrite by Rainbott I like a lot. It fixes a lot of problems with the original while canonizing many things the fandom really cared about. Others have also taken to rewiting the series. I've also been thinking about attempting my own rewrite but i suppose we'll see if I ever get around to it.
